ABOUT
"Cura" is a Latin word with many meanings appropriate toour field of activity in the information world - namely "attention","care", "administration" and "office work". It issuch qualities of care and attention that we aim to apply to the wide range ofinformation problems which organisations may encounter. Interestingly"Cura" can also mean "anxiety", "concern" and"trouble", and these are the worries within organisations that we aimto dispel through our work.
"Consortium" is a Latin word meaning "fellowship"and "participation" - a relationship we like to foster both with ourclients, and through a wider network of information management professionalswith whom we can build any consultancy or project team that might be required.
Cura Consortium was established in 1990 by Bob Wiggins and AlanGilchrist as a focus for a network of information professionals. It is thuswell placed to appreciate the range of information problems that organisationsmay encounter, and to identify effective and efficient solutions - whether ornot based on information technology. It can draw upon this pool of individualswith proven experience to provide a flexible and individual service atcompetitive prices, unencumbered by costly overheads.
